At the Milan Motorcycle Shows (EICMA) in 2018, BMW gave a peak at its new S1000RR, the arrival of the F850GS, BMW, coming out in 2020. It turned out as the main attraction of the show as it was probably the most anticipated sport model of the year.

It had been a couple of years since BMW had given a push to its last roadster, but in 2019 has the opportunity to set the recors straight and catch up with its competition. The S1000RR third generation introduced a new design and moreover can answer to a big argument: less weight, more power. To reach these improvements engineers focused on losing more than 10 kilos and also gaining a better control of the vehicle. To say, the new S 1000 RR goes from 208 to 197 kg with full loads (lighter engine of 4 kg, lighter exhaust of 1.3 kg, etc.), and even 193.5 kg with the M pack, which features carbon fiber wheels, a lighter battery or a sports saddle. The objective seems to be reached, at least on paper.

The price of the BMW S1000RR bike is already fixed at 21,750.82 USD for the first Spring edition.
